AUDITIONS Holy Mo & Spew Boy By Lucia Frangione Directed by Val Lieske Wednesday February 1st 6:30-9:30 At ROCKY MOUNTAIN COLLEGE RM #204 To book an audition val@fireexit.ca Please come with a comedic monologue (no more than 3 minutes) and prepared to sing a few bars of a song of your choice (a cappella). If you can play an instrument…bring it! A reverently irreverent post-modern romp through the Old Testament from creation to King Solomon, not for the religiously faint of heart. Three fools endeavor to shake the dust off of ancient tales and a bring a cast of thousands to life. Follie tries to keep the stories going, what she can remember of them, while Guff throws dinosaurs into Genesis and Bufoona demands to play a princess instead of King David. Good for all ages and people of all faiths. FOLLIE - The respected troubadour who runs the show. Tall and square. She is an utterly sincere visionary and finds great joy in the beauty of the stories she tells. She has a commanding rich voice and is a totalitarian. BUFOONA - The fool. Bufoona is small, round, clownish and squeaky. She loves an audience, has a short attention span and is known to start small rebellions. She is an anarchist. GUFF - The flunky. Guff was a tag along who became useful to the troop. She is the technician, the orchestra, the scenery, and any “bit” that Follie and Bufoona can’t cover. She primarily plays animals and inanimate objects. She is a proletariat. Rehearsals at Alberta Bible College (635 Northmount Dr. NW) Show will run May 2nd-6th at the Engineered Air Theatre-Epcor Centre Fire Exit Theatre is a non-profit, non-equity theatre company. We exist to create meaningful community and a dialogue around faith.
