Auditions: Miss Saigon
Monday December 6th, 2010 - Tuesday December 7th, 2010
Information:
Requirements: 2 contrasting songs. speakers/CD player will be provided for backing tracks or a keyboard should you wish to bring someone to accompany you (or play yourself). No acapella auditions please! You may sing from the show.
Serious applicants only, no experience neccessary, non-paid position (references will be given to those requesting).
Rehearsal schedule is under negotiation and will depend on the part one gets in the production. The show is planned to go on in the Spring.
Roles available
-The Engineer– Baritone The slightly sleazy but likable owner of "Dreamland."
-Christopher Scott, – Tenor An American G.I. sergeant about to leave Saigon to return to America.
-John Thomas – Tenor/Baritone Chris' friend, also a G.I.
-Thuy – Tenor Kim's cousin and betrothed, to whom Kim was promised by her parents when the two were thirteen. Has since become an officer in the Communist Vietnamese government.
- Ellen – Soprano Chris' American wife.
-Gigi Van Tranh – Alto A hardened Saigon stripper; initially voted as "Miss Saigon".
-Tam – Kim and Chris' three-year old son.
- Ensemble- People of Saigon, people at the UN conference in America
