| 2011 Theatre Artist Applications ... Here's how you can apply: Online by using our snazzy online application form at www.calgaryfringe.ca (Be The Fringe, Artists, 2011 Theatre Artist Application). Deadline for application submissions is 8 PM, Friday December 3, 2010. In addition to the application form, an advance fee deposit of $ 150 is required before an application will be submitted into the lottery draw. You can pay by VISA, MasterCard or via cheque. NOTE: the $ 150 advance fee deposit is required at time of application in order to be eligible for the lottery draw. All completed applications who have paid their advance fee deposit of $ 150 are submitted into a lottery draw on/about Wednesday, December 8, 2010. The results of the lottery draw will be posted on our website by December 15, 2010, and all applicants notified via e-mail. The 2011 Indoor Theatre Application Fee is $ 624.75 ($ 588 plus $ 36.75 non refundable deposit): the advance deposit of $ 150 is required before an application will be eligible for the lottery draw, with the remaining balance of $ 474.75 coming due and payable by February 15, 2011 once the applicant has been accepted into the 2011 Calgary Fringe Festival via lottery draw. The non refundable deposit of $ 36.75 will be taken off of the advance deposit of $ 150. Some additional facts about the Calgary Fringe: • there are currently 23 theatre artist spots available. Our selection criteria is: 8 Local (Calgary), 5 Alberta, 5 National and 5 International. Our biggest weighting is in support of our local artists! • All of our Fringe venues are located in one neighbourhood, and is within easy walking distance between each other and our main box office tent. Average Fringe artist payout is $ 2,350. • Each Fringe artist receives 6 guaranteed performances during the 9 day Festival, along with full box office support and are included in the promotional and marketing campaign of the Calgary Fringe Festival. We also provide you with the informational and support tools such as how to stage and mount a successful Fringe show and how to do self promotion. • Performers have an opportunity to see each others’ shows and, with peer support, can tighten their shows up before the Edmonton Fringe or other Fringe destinations on tour. • Fringe Green room where you can network, relax and/or kitbitz with your peers Indoor Theatre Artist Application Fee: $ 560 plus $ 35 non refundable deposit. GST not included. BYOV Theatre Artist Application Fee: $ 285.24 plus $ 35 non refundable deposit.
