Dialect Workshop: "Essential Accents for Every Actor" with David LeReaney Two great opportunities for this one day workshop: Saturday, November 20th, 2010 and Sunday, November 21st, 2010 10:00 – 4:30 Synopsis: Some actors whip out accent after accent without pause – while for others, attempting to speak with an accent can be terrifying territory. David will guide participants in learning how to tackle commonly required accents, and how to keep them consistent night after night. Presenter: David LeReaney is Calgary based actor, dialect coach, teacher and voice–over artist. Conservatory trained with a BFA in acting from the University of Alberta, David is an award winning veteran actor of stage, screen, and recorded media with over 30 years of professional experience. In addition to his performing experience, he has directed theatrical productions and taught at most of the post secondary educational institutions in Alberta. David is also a specialist in dialects and accents, teaching and coaching throughout western Canada and has been on-set dialect coach for many film and television production, coaching Academy and Emmy award winning film and TV stars.
