| The University of Calgary Operetta Company is proud to present “TITANIC: The Musical” Story and Book by Peter Stone Music and Lyrics by Maury Yeston Directed by Colleen Whidden and Byron Redd Orchestra Directed by Wendy Freeman TICKETS ON SALE SOON! This musical, with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and book by Peter Stone, opened on Broadway in 1997. It has some wonderful music, lots of lead characters, a big chorus, and some fun dance numbers. This show was the winner of 5 Tony awards in 1997, including the award for Best Musical, so it has some real depth both in the portrayal of the story and in the music.
