"Bruised Not Broken" by Val Lieske Two women in their thirties ask the question; what is the cost of friendship and can it last a lifetime? Through a series of flash-backs, the characters look back on their many years of friendship including the good, bad & ugly. When MEG decides that the friendship is just too hard, she decides to “break up” with RANDI. This forces RANDI to ask herself what really keeps friends together, even when theirs no binding paperwork, like in marriage. In the end, they decide that anything good is hard and “it” is worth it. AND...a Sneak-A-Peak of our upcoming production of First Church of Texaco by Andrew Librizzi Directed by Val Lieske Meet Stanton Presley – “the youngest CEO of the 16th largest corporation.” He has curiously jetted into the small town of Blessin’ TX, to set up his headquarters, intentionally hiring the local ex-Rice Queen, Alice, as his secretary. Suddenly, Stanton’s mysterious plans are interrupted when, through a combination of small town gossip and mistaken identity, he winds up the “Pastor” of the First Church of Texaco. This campy romantic comedy is all about losing a fortune, finding a treasure and winning an Emmy on the highway of life. | |
