Information:
AUDITIONS FOR "Inherit the Wind" Directed by Louis B. Hobson

From 7pm to 10pm on Sunday September 13 and Monday September 14 at the Workshop Theatre rehearsal space at 120 Forge Rd SE.

INHERIT THE WIND is the story of the SCOPES MONKEY TRIAL
when the theory of Evolution was literally put on trial.
That was in Texas in 1925 but it could eerily be Alberta 2010 if
the provincial Conservatives pass Bill 44 allowing parents not only to opt
their children from certain classes but to take teachers to court for teaching
controversial subjects such as evolution, same sex marriage, sexuality and
world religions.

It's a large cast with at least THREE of the central male characters playing IN THEIR 60s..
and at least ONE woman in the same age range.

The play's young lovers should be in their 20s

The minister and his wife should be in their 50s
The reporter in his 30s or 40s

There are two roles for children...one boy and one girl

Then a dozen character roles split evenly between men and women.
The plan is to cast 12 excellent actors who can do MULTIPLE ROLES
