| Properties & Set Decoration with Mike Patton Saturday, May 9th , 2009 10:00 – 4:30 Presenter: Mike has called Calgary home for the past few years. He has actively worked for Theatre Calgary and Alberta Theatre Projects as both a Scenic Carpenter and Stage Carpenter. Recently Mike has designed shows for local theatre companies such as Ghost River, The Shakespeare Company and Theatre bsmt. Mike also commutes to Red Deer every few months to build scenery for Red Deer College productions and is currently the Production Designer for Class Acts at Red Deer College. In 2008 Mike successfully defended his Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Degree at The University of British Columbia and he hopes to teach at a College and University level in Canada in the foreseeable future. *This workshop is sponsored by Theatre Alberta with funding from The Alberta Foundation for the Arts All our workshops are geared to community theatre volunteers both from on-stage, and off-stage aspects of production. All workshops are open to the public and are held either Saturday or Sunday at the Community Arts Centre on the Currie Barracks (2633 Hochwald Avenue SW). Workshops are only $30 each for a full day of instruction (discounts available for groups of 5 or more, or for attending 3 workshops, please contact Morpheus Theatre for more details).
