| Music Literacy for Beginners with Natalie Ehrenholz This one is specially tailored for teens & adults who would like to build their skills in reading and understanding a musical score! Natalie will be leading the participants through a 2-week crash course covering the basics of reading music, focusing on the skills needed to read a vocal score similar to musical theatre or operetta. Week one will include instruction on the musical alphabet, the staff, accidentals, rhythm, dynamics and musical terminology. Then in week two we will dive deeper, covering tones/semitones, the Major/Minor Scales, the Circle of 5ths, intervals & basic harmonies. All materials will be provided, and we will be using excerpts from our upcoming production of Patience as a case study!
