Follow a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk, on a journey to break a curse, find a better life, and provide for a family. With a cast full of storybook characters, they will learn that what you wish may not be worth what you get, and that even the best of actions have their consequences. James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece of theatre.
