Workshop: Into the Designers Space
Sunday March 22nd, 2020
Information:
Into the Designers Space - with Kathryn Smith

Whether you're producing your own show, or stepping into a process as a designer for the first time, an understanding of transforming your space is key. Design is the way in which we create the world of the show we wish to see. It can transport us, support us, and convey every theme and feeling with only a glance.
In this workshop, Kathryn Smith will guide you through a designers process; both with and without a budget; in a variety of spaces. She will provide visual and hands on learning for participants to transform their own space and witness how designers can support the story of the play, while being artful in their own right.

Topics covered will include:

-From first ideas to opening night

-How designs compliment each other

-Designing on a budget

-Hands on set decoration and lighting play
