Started in spring of 2000, Scorpio Theatre is a Calgary group composed entirely although completely accidentally of people from other astrological signs. We are devoted to new works from the fringe of the dramatic world, often comedic. While focusing on the rehearsed play, we explore the many aspects of comedy, with delvings into sketch comedy, improv, and other things we consider funny. Scorpio Theatre focuses on original works, providing a venue for plays and/or authors never before seen. We have enjoyed bringing our brand of comedic wackiness to audiences at various Fringe Theatre Festivals across Canada as well as in our hometown. We enjoy being able to laugh at ourselves and having others laugh along with us.
