| You are invited to audition for the musical "Joseph and the Amazing Techincolor Dreamcoat" by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber. It is a lighthearted telling of the story of Joseph and his brothers in Egypt. Characters: Joseph - young man 18-25 Jacob - father of Joseph Narrator - adult Potiphar - male adult Mrs. Potiphar - female adult Baker - adult Butler- adult 12 brothers - adults Pharaoh - male adult 11 wives - chorus - children and adults Auditions will take place on August 21/22, 28/29 and September 4/5 at 6:30 to 8:30 at Forest Lawn United Church, 2236 35 St SE, Calgary, AB T2G 0X1 Rehearsals will start in January on Tuesdays and Saturdays with 10 performances taking place between April 27 and May 13. Call Daphne to book an audition at 403-998-5133 Prepare a song to sing (pianist and speaker for techno will be available) and be prepared to do a cold reading and repeat a short dance. Painted Fish is known for it's multi-age casts, often ranging from age 6 to 76. You may audition for both our upcoming shows as there is no overlap. | |
